Welcoming

Bunkhouse

Did you know that not all children removed from their homes are immediately placed in a licensed home or facility? These children, known as CWOP (Children Without Placement), often stay with caseworkers in hotels. While children in this situation can vary in age, the majority are youth between 10 and 17 years old and they may need temporary housing for a few days, weeks, or even months. In Texas, an average of 100 children each month find themselves in this difficult position.

Entrusted Houston’s Bunkhouse provides a home-like environment for these children and their caseworkers, offering a welcoming and caring space while they await more permanent placements. Our deepest hope is that, through this refuge, both the children and caseworkers will feel seen, loved, and reassured that God is with them, even in the toughest circumstances.
