Resourcing!
At Entrusted Houston, we are dedicated to meeting the needs of Houston’s most vulnerable populations, with a special focus on families served by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) across Harris and surrounding counties. We understand the importance of meeting basic needs in promoting the well-being and dignity of individuals. Providing aid helps stabilize circumstances, especially for those experiencing economic hardship.
Every family that comes through our doors has a unique story and faces distinct challenges. Housed in a 3,200-square-foot facility, our Resource Center is stocked with a wide range of clothing for children and adults of all ages. From everyday clothing and footwear to baby essentials like diapers and formula, our committed team works tirelessly to ensure we can equip caregivers with the items they need to create stable, loving homes.
Our Resource Center serves as a crucial support hub for caregivers and caseworkers, extending aid to foster, adoptive, biological, kinship, and fictive kinship families. We also partner with agencies to assist the homeless, veterans, refugees, and women escaping sex trafficking, reflecting our commitment to be the hands and feet of Christ to our city.
Join our Mission!
Serving 300-400 children each month, we couldn’t do this without your support! It’s through the collective efforts of individuals, churches, businesses, and organizations that we’re able to make a lasting impact on the lives of these families. Whether through generous donations or the hard work of dedicated volunteers, every contribution plays a crucial role in fulfilling our mission.

The quick answer is YES!
Thanks to our amazing partnership with Baby2Baby, we receive a steady supply of diapers in sizes newborn through size 6. However, our greatest need right now is for size 7 diapers and pull-ups, as these are the sizes we frequently run out of.
And don’t forget the wipes! We include a package of wipes with every diaper or pull-up request, so they’re always in high demand.
-
We focus on stocking our Resource Center with items that address the most fundamental human needs. For certain items—like underwear, toys, and hygiene products—new donations are essential.
These items directly impact a child’s comfort, health, and well-being. By providing new items, we ensure that these needs are met with the utmost care and respect.
It’s important to us that every child we serve feels valued and receives items that are clean, safe, and dignified, especially during times of uncertainty.
-
Most of the toys we distribute are intended for either birthday or Christmas gifts.
To ensure that every child experiences the joy and sense of being cherished, we only accept new toys. Our hope is that each gift not only brings happiness but also affirms their worth and value in the eyes of God.
-
While we do get requests for these items, we do not have a huge space to store bikes and riding toys. We do like to have a handful of gently used bikes for adults. We get bike requests for teens who are trying to get jobs and need a bike for transportation.
-
For clothing and items we cannot utilize, we recycle them responsibly.
When we receive an excess of certain items and lack the space to store them, we make every effort to find another non-profit organization that can benefit from those donations.
For items that fall outside the scope of the items we supply, we ensure they are donated to other organizations where they can be put to good use.
