While many local organizaitons focus on foster and adoption families, there are fewer resources for families in criss, those at risk of child removal, relatives stepping in to care for children, or children who face uncertainty because they cannot find immediate placement. On average, children in foster care experience four different placements and wait 19.5 months to achieve permanency. Each move creates additional trauma, making it harder for children to heal and thrive.
